Traditional wastewater treatment systems are increasingly unable to address complex industrial contaminants, resource depletion, and environmental degradation associated with modern industrial activities. Emerging technologies such as membrane filtration, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, advanced oxidation processes, biological treatment systems, and resource recovery infrastructures have become critical solutions for sustainable industrial wastewater treatment and environmental protection. This study examines advanced emerging technologies for sustainable industrial wastewater treatment and resource recovery. The study adopts a qualitative and analytical research methodology based on secondary data obtained from environmental sustainability literature, wastewater treatment studies, industrial water management research, and technological innovation publications. The findings reveal that advanced wastewater treatment technologies significantly improve contaminant removal efficiency, water recovery performance, resource conservation, and industrial sustainability. The study further demonstrates that integrated smart technologies and resource recovery systems contribute positively to operational efficiency, pollution reduction, energy optimization, and circular economic development. The study concludes that emerging wastewater treatment technologies represent essential tools for achieving sustainable industrial water management and environmental resilience. The research recommends increased investment in smart treatment infrastructures, artificial intelligence systems, nanotechnology applications, environmental regulations, and industrial sustainability programs to strengthen wastewater treatment efficiency and resource recovery performance. The study contributes to environmental engineering literature by providing empirical insights into advanced industrial wastewater treatment technologies and sustainable resource recovery systems.

Keywords

Industrial Wastewater Treatment, Emerging Technologies, Resource Recovery, Sustainable Water Management, Nanotechnology, Artificial Intelligence, Membrane Filtration, Circular Economy, Environmental Sustainability, Wastewater Recycling.
