The species is further characterised by three dorsocentral setae (rarely four), black setae on the head, elongated frontal triangle (Fig. 1 C) and late flight period (Freidberg and Shatalkin 2008). However, the most diagnostic character is the apically forked phallus (Fig. 1 D, E). According to Freidberg and Shatalkin (2008), this character is unique within the genus <i>Chamaepsila</i>. The Albanian specimens possess four dorsocentral setae; all other external characters and male genitalia fully correspond to the original description, figures, and photographs provided by Freidberg and Shatalkin (2008) and Çerçi (2017: as “ Friedberg ” [misspelling of the first author’s name]).</p><p><b>Remarks.</b></p><p>The record from Turkey reported by Çerçi (2017) represents the first occurrence of the species in Europe. The present findings from Albania constitute the currently known westernmost occurrence of <i>C. homochroa</i> and the second record from Europe. The species is expected to occur in neighbouring countries; however, it has likely remained undetected due to limited research on Psilidae in the region and the late flight period characteristic of the <i>Chamaepsila hebraica</i> Hennig, 1941 species group (<i>sensu</i> Freidberg and Shatalkin (2008)). The type specimens were collected from November to January, the earliest Turkish record dated 22 October, whereas the Albanian specimens were collected on 10–11 October, representing the earliest known records of the species. This further confirms that the flight period may shift earlier, farther from the equator (Çerçi 2017).</p><p><b>Distribution.</b></p><p>Israel, Turkey (Freidberg and Shatalkin 2008; Çerçi 2017); newly recorded from Albania.</p>
