Drawing on Grice's Cooperative Principle and Politeness Theory, the study analyses how speakers encode and decode meaning beyond the literal content of utterances. Particular attention is given to indirect speech acts, implicature, and face-saving strategies in both face-to-face and digital discourse. The findings suggest that pragmatic competence is indispensable for effective intercultural communication in the modern world.</span></p> |
