| contents | <p><strong>This document presents version 2.0 of a comparative positioning framework for Complex Multilayered Abuse (CMA), a survivor-led preliminary conceptual framework focused on the structural organization and persistence of long-term multilayered abuse within closed environments.<br>CMA is not proposed as a psychiatric diagnosis or a replacement for existing trauma frameworks. It is positioned as a structural and conceptual framework that organizes how long-term, multilayered abuse may be generated, sustained, and reinforced within closed environments marked by escape difficulty and institutional non-responsiveness.<br>This document compares CMA with six existing trauma-related frameworks: C-PTSD (ICD-11), Developmental Trauma Disorder, Polyvictimization, ACEs, Traumagenic Dynamics, and Structural Dissociation.
