contents <p><b><i>Ceratolontha</i> Arrow, 1948</b></p><p><b>Type species</b></p><p><i>Ceratolontha venezuelae</i> Arrow, 1948 (designation: monotypy).</p><p><b>Diagnosis</b></p><p>Male clypeus with two long horns (Fig. 10 B–C) and female clypeus deeply emarginate (Fig. 10 A); maxillary palpus longer than antennomeres I−VI; pronotal anterior and posterior margins not beaded; prosternum anteriorly concave (similar to Fig. 12 K); protibia with three external teeth and without spur; elytron with three raised longitudinal lines between internal margin and humerus, posterior and posterointernal margins not beaded; mesotibia with some spines; metatarsomere V without spine-like setae; abdomen with intersegmental membrane VII–VIII concealed.</p><p><b>Remark</b></p><p><i>Ceratolontha</i> is distinguished from other Macrodactylini genera by the head ornamentation (Fig. 10 B–C).</p>
