| contents | <p><b><i>Campodea</i> (<i>Campodea</i>) <i>leclerci</i> Bareth, 1985</b></p><p><i>Campodea</i> (<i>Campodea</i>) <i>leclerci</i> Bareth, 1985: 47, figs a–g.</p><p><b>Diagnosis</b> (Bareth 1985, 2006)</p><p>Slightly cave-adapted species; body length 3.2–4.5 mm; short, smooth clothing setae; antennae with 30–31 antennomeres; cupuliform organ with six to seven olfactory chemoreceptors; sensillum of third antennomere in ventral position; short (<i>ma</i>, <i>la</i>) and long (<i>lp</i>) barbed notal macrosetae; short notal marginal setae with long apical barbs; 1+1 <i>ma</i> macrosetae from short to longer from I to VII urotergites, 1+1 <i>la</i>, 1+1 <i>lp</i> on V–VII urotergites, 1+1 <i>mp</i> 3+3 <i>lp</i> on VIII urotergite and 1+1 <i>mp</i> 5+5 <i>lp</i> on IX abdominal segment; male without glandular <i>g 1</i> -setae; cerci longer than body with 12 articles covered in long macrosetae with thin barbs and a few clothing setae; spermatozoid fascicles 43–47 μm in diameter and 21–22 μm thick, spiral filament with 4 spirals, 240 μm long and 1.3 × 0.7 μm in its elliptical section.</p><p><b>Habitat and distribution</b></p><p>Cave-dwelling species found in the Grotte Puechredon, Gard, South of France (Bareth 1985).</p> |
