| contents | <p><b><i>Campodea</i> (<i>Campodea</i>) <i>grallesiensis</i> Sendra & Condé, 1987</b></p><p><i>Campodea</i> (<i>Campodea</i>) <i>grallesiensis</i> Sendra & Condé, 1987: 55, figs 1a–c, 2, 3a–b.</p><p><b>Diagnosis</b> (Sendra & Condé 1987)</p><p>Cave-adapted species; body length 4.0– 8.3 mm; epicuticle with microdenticles; thick and short clothing setae with barbs; antennae with 34–40 antennomeres; cupuliform organ with eight to ten complex olfactory chemoreceptors; sensillum of third antennomere in ventral position; middle-sized, robust notal macrosetae almost completely covered with short barbs; <i>la</i> mesonotal similar to clothing setae and <i>lp</i> metanotal similar to marginal setae; short thin pine cone marginal setae; 1+1 <i>la</i> macrosetae on V urotergite; 1+1 <i>la</i>, 1+1 <i>lp</i> on VI–VII urotergites; 1+1 <i>mp</i>, 3+3 <i>lp</i> on VIII urotergite and 1+1 <i>mp</i>, 5+5 <i>lp</i> on IX abdominal segment; male without glandular <i>g 1</i> -setae; cerci twice as long as body with 15–17 articles, covered with long macrosetae with thin barbs along distal half to two-thirds and a few clothing setae.</p><p><b>Habitat and distribution</b></p><p>Cave-dwelling species endemic from the Caroig Massif, a karst region in the eastern Iberian Peninsula (Sendra & Condé 1987; Sendra & Moreno 2004).</p> |
