| contents | <p><b><i>Dermacentor filippovae</i> Apanaskevich and Apanaskevich, 2015</b></p><p>This recently described species has previously been confused with <i>D. auratus</i> and <i>D. compactus</i> (Apanaskevich and Apanaskevich 2015a). To date it is known from Lao PDR, Thailand and Vietnam, where it is predominantly a parasite of wild pigs (<i>Sus scrofa</i>) (Apanaskevich and Apanaskevich 2015a; Vongphayloth <i>et al</i>. 2018b). Apanaskevich and Apanaskevich (2015a) suggest that collections from Cambodia could bridge the gap between Thailand and Vietnam.</p><p>The male and female of <i>D. filippovae</i> are described in Apanaskevich and Apanaskevich (2015a).</p> |
