- <p><b><i>apertus</i> species­group</b></p><p><b>Diagnosis.</b> — Male. Metasomal tergite II with pair of hairy tufts very large and rounded, placed not in pits, but in a very shallow depression.</p><p><b>Comments.</b> — This group is composed by <i>D. apertus</i> Kieffer, 1914, <i>D. subpilosus</i> Azevedo, 1999 and <i>D. parvus</i> Azevedo, 1999. It is broadly distributed, ranging from northeast of the USA to Bolivia.</p>
