contents <p>This interactive map shows the study area of the <a href="https://www.researchgate.net/project/Roman-Rural-Landscapes-in-Noricum-Archaeological-Studies-on-Roman-Settlements-in-the-Hinterland-of-Northern-Noricum">PhD-Project <em>Roman Rural Landscapes in Noricum.</em></a> The project deals with the rural settlement in northern Noricum during Roman times. The study area is located in the <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/SzCTttU3iDnE2i5h9">“Mostviertel” in Lower Austria</a>.</p> <p>The project follows an inclusive approach, which means that all available archaeological sources in the sense of finds and features should be considered. The investigations focus on the period of Roman rule in Noricum (15 BC to AD 488) and preceding and subsequent epochs.</p> <p>The model as an interactive 3D general map was generated using <a href="https://github.com/qgis/QGIS">QGIS</a> and <a href="https://github.com/minorua/Qgis2threejs">Qgis2threejs</a>.</p>
