  • Quantitative analysis of the factors that influence approval rates in subjects of undergraduate course at a public Education institution in southern Brazil Fernando Elemar Vicente dos Anjos Márcia Helena Borges Notarjacomo Debora Oliveira da Silva Rodrigo Dullius Educación Approval ratings student approval higher education management processes impact approval rates Seeking improvements in graduation rates, success, and reduction in retention of undergraduate students support regional development. Our article, through a case study, aims to identify whether factors related to faculty members, and students impact the approval rates of the undergraduate course in the management processes of a public educational institution in southern Brazil. In the quantitative analysis carried out, it was noticed that factors related to faculty members, such as degree (just undergraduate, master, or Ph.D.), type of employment (permanent or temporary), and having a degree with a teaching diploma, do not impact the approval rates. However, factors related to students influence the approval rate, for example, attendance rates in the classroom and the age of students influence approval rates. Students with a higher frequency in the classroom and students over 30 have higher approval rates than the others. This work helped to identify factors impact negative approval rates, for example, younger students and the frequency of students in the classroom have lower approval rates in the subjects. 2023 artículo científico 0104-4036 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=399575652009 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/3995/399575652009/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/3995/399575652009/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/3995/399575652009/399575652009.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/3995/399575652009/movil https://doi.org/10.1590/S0104-40362023003103898 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=3995 Ensaio: Avaliação e Políticas Públicas em Educação application/pdf Fundação Cesgranrio Ensaio: Avaliação e Políticas Públicas em Educação (Brasil) Num.121 Vol.31
